Road access to the Tarawera outlet (Te Tapahoro) remains CLOSED.
Please note:
- Kawerau isite do not do road access permits for camping, but do permits for vehicles to drop campers off to the Falls carpark only.
- Foot access for camping is permitted from the Falls carpark only (No overnight vehicles to stay or vehicle will be towed)
- Boat access is permitted via the lake entrance from Rotorua for camping ONLY.
