Tarawera High School
The newly completed Tarawera High School is an environment underpinned by the philosophy of whakawhanaungatanga - it recognises Tangata-whenua whilst still valuing all knowledge, language and culture. Through positive deeds and actions, they encourage students to embrace their MANA and stand within the school whanau. By acknowledging and celebrating actions that reinforce the values of MANA, they develop the moral character of students and instil virtues that will stay with them for life.
