Dog Shows

Kawerau has long been host to many major dog obedience, jumpers, agility and best of breeds events which happen throughout the year.

Kawerau Christmas in the Park

Kawerau Christmas in the Park is an event that is held annually in December with the New World Kawerau Santa Parade.

Tarawera Ultramarathon

New Zealand’s most prestigious trail ultra, part of the Ultra-Trail World Tour. Runners can complete the 102, 87km, 62km distances or relays.

Anzac Day Dawn Parade

ANZAC Day commemorations on Thursday, 25 April in Kawerau start from 0515 hours when all are welcome to assemble at the Ex Navalmen’s Club in Onslow Street Kawerau.
